In 2013, Dr Donald Murphy published an open-access case series in F1000Research on photodynamic therapy using a sublingually administered, chlorophyll-based photosensitiser.
The case series, across a range of cancers, reported on tolerability and on the photosensitiser’s bioavailability and uptake, and called for further study. It is part of the early published record behind the photodynamic-therapy approach now being developed by ImmunoPDT.
